Did you hear? Boston is putting themselves on the map this year with an amazing Fashion Week of their own! As in many years past the mess of events have been spread around the city. This year they decided to go with the traditional ways of having all of the events held in one tent. “I’ve always wanted this,’’ said Jay Calderin, founder and executive director of Boston Fashion Week. “But I’ve never had the money to make a tent work, so it really had to be the community that wanted this and was willing to roll up its sleeves and contribute.’’ With the 3,000-square-foot tent, which will sit between Mandarin Oriental and the Shops at Prudential Center. The tent will hold 250 people and host will be hosting 3 shows a day for the week of festivities. The event will be held the week of September 23rd-30th.
